Bonnie has nearly a decade of experience practicing in the areas of litigation and insurance coverage.  

Bonnie counsels insurers on a broad range of first- and third-party liability insurance coverage issues.  She has expertise in cyber exposures such as computer network security breaches, data loss, and business interruption, as well as privacy liability.  Bonnie also serves as coverage and monitoring counsel in connection with matters arising under a broad range of professional liability policies, including directors and officers, lawyers, errors and omissions, media, software, and technology.

Bonnie represents insurers in coverage litigation in courts across the country, including matters involving bad faith disputes and extra-contractual damages.  She has written amici briefs on behalf of insurance trade associations in complex and high-profile insurance coverage cases nationwide.  Her litigation experience also includes representing clients in civil and commercial litigation such as professional malpractice, as well as appellate matters. 

From 2019 to 2023, Bonnie was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.  In that role, she investigated, indicted, litigated, and tried numerous criminal cases on behalf of the United States and received several special achievement awards. 

Bonnie lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband Andrew and their son.
